Floppy-Eared Friend Quilt Block
Quilt block pattern — one block to piece, not a finished quilt.

Floppy-Eared Friend is a pieced animal portrait with caramel fur, dark hanging ears and small cream facial markings. It uses only straight-edged squares, rectangles and half-square triangles, but the detailed face calls for organised, accurate piecing.

Notes
Lay out the pieces before sewing so that the ears, markings, eyes and nose remain correctly oriented. Piece the half-square-triangle sections first, taking care not to stretch their bias edges, then join them with the rectangles and squares in manageable sections. Accurate seams matter most around the small facial details, where slight shifts are noticeable.
