How it's made

Here's Santa, rosy cheeks and all, from squares and corners.

A red hat trimmed in fur, rosy cheeks and a long white beard.

A big navy corner slopes the hat. Round the tip with a smaller one, then make a pom-pom with tiny corners.

Sew the hat row, then round the ends of a white strip for the fur.

Two dark squares sit right under the brim, so Santa peeks out from his hat.

Peach corners round pink squares into rosy cheeks. White corners on the nose start his moustache.

White sides frame the face. Big navy corners taper a white rectangle into a full, round beard.

Add navy at the ends of the brim and beard, then sew the rows with navy top and bottom.

Twelve Santas and a red border make a jolly Christmas quilt.
