Sea Glass Chevrons

Sea Glass Chevrons is a Half Square Triangle throw in warm ivory and sea glass, set five by six of twelve-inch units with no sashing so the triangles form three stacked chevrons across the quilt. Finished size is 73 by 85 inches. Make each unit the same: pair a sea-glass square with an ivory square, sew on both sides of the drawn diagonal, cut apart, press toward the sea glass and trim to twelve inches. Set even rows with the sea glass in the bottom-right, and turn odd rows ninety degrees so the sea glass sits in the top-right; that is the only change that makes the chevrons. A harbour inner border and a deep-water outer border keep the edges true without extra piecing. The construction is beginner work: two fabrics, one cut, a repeat you can count. It suits a first large HST project or anyone who wants a coastal throw with a clear colour plan.
