Creator Program Terms
Last Updated: August 11, 2026
1. Overview
The Quiltler Creator Program lets approved creators earn a commission for introducing new paying subscribers to Quiltler. These Creator Program Terms apply to your participation in the program and are in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict between these terms and the Terms of Service on a program-specific matter, these terms control for that matter.
2. Enrollment and Eligibility
Participation is by enrollment and approval. We may accept or decline any applicant, and may set, change, or revoke eligibility requirements at our discretion. To be paid, you must provide the account and payout details we request and keep them accurate. You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you earn, and for providing any tax information we or our payment provider reasonably require.
3. Promo Codes and Attribution
On approval, you may be issued one or more creator promo codes and referral links. When a new visitor arrives through your link or applies your code, we record that attribution:
- A first-party attribution cookie records your code (and the referring campaign) for up to 90 days from a visitor's first touch. First touch wins: a later visit from another source does not overwrite it.
- Attribution can also be captured when a user enters your code during onboarding or redeems it for promotional access.
- When that user creates an account or subscribes, the attribution is attached to their account so a resulting commission can be credited to you.
You agree to promote Quiltler honestly. You may not bid on our trademarks in paid search, spam, use misleading claims, self-refer using your own code, or use cookie-stuffing or other artificial means to generate attribution. Doing so may result in reversal of commissions and removal from the program.
4. Commissions
Your commission rate is set when your code is created and is typically a negotiated percentage (generally 20%โ30%) of the value of a referred subscriber's first subscription. Key rules:
- First subscription only. A commission is earned once per referred subscriber, on their first paid subscription โ not on renewals.
- Paid subscriptions only. Commissions are earned only on genuine paid subscriptions (through the App Store or our web payment provider). Free trials that never convert, comped or promotional access, and a subscriber using their own code do not earn a commission.
- Plan-based value. The commission is calculated on the plan the subscriber actually purchased (for example, a Designer subscription is worth more than a Quilter subscription).
- Amounts. Commissions are recorded to your creator ledger in whole cents and rounded down.
5. Reversals
A commission may be reversed โ reducing your earned balance โ if the underlying subscription is refunded, charged back, cancelled during a refund window, or found to be fraudulent, or if the attribution is found to violate these terms. Reversals may apply to commissions already recorded but not yet paid out, and may offset future earnings if already paid.
6. Balances and Payouts
Your creator balance is the total of your recorded commissions (net of reversals) less amounts already paid out. Payouts are made manually by us and may be subject to a minimum balance, a holding period to allow for refunds and chargebacks, and verification of your identity and payout details. We will pay out to the payout handle or account you provide. If we cannot verify or reach you, or if your account is closed for a violation, unpaid amounts may be withheld to the extent permitted by law.
7. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may change the program, commission rates, and these terms prospectively. We may suspend or remove any creator, and pause or end the program, at our discretion. Terminating your participation does not by itself forfeit commissions properly earned before termination, except where they are subject to reversal under Section 5 or where termination was for fraud or abuse.
8. Relationship of the Parties
Participation in the Creator Program does not create an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between you and Quiltler. You are an independent participant and may not make commitments on our behalf.
