About this pattern
Citron Ladder Bands is a 95 by 107 inch queen of Jacob's Ladder blocks. Each 12-inch unit mixes four-patches with half-square triangles so a cream diagonal steps through the darks. Fifty-six blocks fill a 7 by 8 grid, joined edge to edge so the cream rungs continue across each band. Colour stacks in three strata: two rows of Cobalt Ledger, four rows of Warm Paprika through the middle, two rows of Plum Ledger. Ledger Cream is the light in every block and the 2-inch inner border; a 3.5-inch Citron Field outer frame finishes the bed top.
Keep the darks on the same side of each four-patch so the chain holds when you join a row. Press toward the dark and nest the HST seams as you assemble each band. Four paprika rows, same rotation, should read as one warm stripe.
This suits a confident piecer who knows squares and HSTs and wants organised colour on a queen bed. Yardage for all five solids, a cutting chart, Jacob's Ladder piecing order, and the labelled three-band layout come in the download.
