About this pattern

Citron Cabin Raise is a 71 by 91 inch throw of Log Cabin blocks. Each 10-inch unit starts with a Warm Paprika hearth, then winds three rounds of Ledger Cream logs on the light diagonal and Cobalt Ledger logs on the dark. Forty-eight blocks sit on a 6 by 8 grid with no sashing, rotated in four quadrants so the cobalt halves meet as a barn-raising diamond and cream diamonds open to the corners. A 2-inch paprika inner border repeats the hearths; a 3.5-inch Citron Field outer frame finishes in chartreuse.

Sew each cabin as a spiral: hearth, two cream logs, two cobalt logs, repeat to the edge. Keep cream on the same two adjacent sides so the split stays a clean diagonal. Nest the long log seams at the midlines and match the paprika hearths onto a regular grid.

Aimed at strip piecers who want the logs to draw the diamonds, with one block, four turns, and contrast that reads from the doorway. Drape it on a sofa back or a single bed. The download has yardage for the four solids, a cutting chart for the 10-inch logs, the spiral piecing order, and a labelled barn-raising map.
