About this pattern
Tidepool Diagonals is a baby quilt of half-square triangles in tidepool and warm ivory, all leaning the same way across a 9 × 12 crib. Finished size is 45 × 57 inches. Make each HST the same: pair a tidepool square with an ivory square, cut once on the diagonal, press toward the tidepool, and trim to 4 inches. Set every block with the tidepool pointing up-left so the diagonals run as one quiet sawtooth across the crib. A sea-glass inner border and a deep-water outer border keep the edges true without adding extra piecing. The construction is beginner work: two fabrics, one cut, a repeat you can count. It suits a first HST project or anyone who wants a coastal crib quilt with a clear colour plan.
