About this pattern

Leaf Snowballs is a Snowball throw in garden cream, leaf green and blossom, set five by six of twelve-inch blocks with no sashing so the snowballed corners meet and form small cream squares between the octagons. Finished size is 73 by 85 inches. Alternate leaf-green and blossom snowballs on the checkerboard as you go. Each Snowball is five pieces: a large coloured square with cream triangles sewn to the four corners. Cut the corner triangles from paired squares, sew them to the centre, and press toward the coloured fabric so the cream stays flat. Trim the dog-ears before you join the blocks. A chartreuse inner border and a woodland outer border square the quilt and keep the greens from floating. The pattern suits a beginner who wants a traditional garden top with only one simple unit. The download is a full pattern pack with yardage, a cutting chart, piecing order and the layout for this throw.
