About this pattern
Teal Plum Postage is a 38 by 48 inch baby quilt pieced from twelve 10-inch Twenty-Five Patch blocks on a 3 by 4 setting. Inside every block, twenty-five 2-inch squares checker Parade Cream with a second solid: Parade Teal on the even positions, Parade Plum on the odd. Those 5 × 5 beats stack into a coarser checker, and the odd count puts dark against cream at every join so the values stay sharp.
Coral Flare runs a 1½-inch inner strip; Signal Violet a 2½-inch outer one. The coral lives only in that strip, a warm flash between the cool patches and the violet edge.
Cut 2-inch finished squares, sew five across, press toward the coloured patch, then join five rows and nest the seams at every crossing. Match cream to cream where a teal block shares an edge with a plum one. For a hotter field, drop the teal and put Coral Flare in the even blocks; plum still holds the dark.
This one is square piecing for a cot, a pram blanket, or a play mat. Open the file for yardage figures, the cutting chart, assembly notes and the 3 by 4 plan.
