About this pattern
Mustard Vine Tulips is a pieced throw built from the traditional Tulip block, set as a garden bed of thirty blooms. Each twelve-inch block places a cream vine-and-berry print behind mustard-yellow floral petals and a navy ditsy stem with one leaf, so every flower sits clearly against a pale ground. Two-inch Bellflower Cream sashing runs between the blocks, with small cream cornerstones at the intersections, keeping the repeats evenly spaced and easy to read from across a room. A three-and-a-half-inch navy floral border frames the whole surface. Finished, the quilt measures 75 by 89 inches — a generous throw for a sofa or the foot of a bed.
The Tulip block is twenty-one pieces: triangles and rectangles that form the three petals, the stem, and the leaf. Matching the mustard print across the petal seams is the main placement job; the navy stem is a simpler run of rectangles and a single triangle. Confident piecers who enjoy traditional floral blocks will find the sewing satisfying without being fussy.
The download includes yardage, a cutting chart, piecing order, and the full layout so you can assemble the thirty blocks, join them with sashing, and add the border in one pass.
