Harvest Schoolhouse Throw

A 72" × 85.5" throw of Schoolhouse blocks, five across and six down, each house finished at 12 inches. The sky is Harvest Sprigs, a cream with wheat and seed heads. The roof is Cinnamon Herringbone. The walls are Straw Gingham. The door is Orchard Fruit, pears and tiny pumpkins, and the windows are Pumpkin Ticking. All thirty houses sit the same way up; this is a village, not a pinwheel.

The Schoolhouse is mostly squares and rectangles with a pair of triangles for the roof pitch. Match the roof triangles to the wall so the eaves sit on a straight line. One-and-a-half-inch sashing of Pumpkin Ticking separates the houses, with cinnamon cornerstones, and a 3" Cinnamon Herringbone border frames the lot.

The gingham walls and the herringbone roof carry the value contrast; the door and windows are quieter prints that show when you are close. Sized for a sofa or the end of a bed.
