Ambassador Programme

You already teach quilters. Teach them Quiltler.

For teachers, guild organisers, shop staff and makers people listen to. Show quilters how to design in Quiltler, and earn 25% of what each one pays, after fees, for as long as they keep their account. You get Designer free, can run classes where you keep 90%, and join a small founding cohort that works directly with Chris, who built Quiltler.

What you get

Everything you need to teach design, and a fair share of what it brings in

We'd rather have fifteen ambassadors who love teaching than a thousand who post a link. So the programme is built around the people you already help.

Your studio

Quiltler Designer, free

The full studio for your own samples, class plans and patterns, with the 5% marketplace fee if you sell. Yours for as long as you're an ambassador in good standing.

Your customers

25% after fees, for their lifetime

When someone joins through your link, code or class, they're yours for good. Plan changes, switching to the App Store, cancelling and coming back: you still earn.

Your classes

Book students through Quiltler

In person, live online or a multi-week series. Seats, payment, reminders and a roster, handled. You keep 90% after card fees, and free classes cost nothing.

Your codes

A welcome offer you choose

Give new quilters up to 25% off their first web payment. We split the cost of it with you, half and half, so a generous offer doesn't come only out of your pocket.

Your portal

Every number, shown

Customers (pseudonymous, never names), funnel, retention, monthly statements, and each ledger line with the price, fee and rate behind it.

Your people

A private community with Chris

Questions, teaching ideas and blunt product feedback, straight to the person who builds Quiltler. You'll hear what's coming before anyone else, and help shape it.

The arithmetic, in the open

Your share is calculated after Stripe's and Apple's fees

You earn 25% of the price after the payment fee, less half of any welcome discount. Renewals have no discount, so from the second payment on it's simply 25% after fees. Try it.

Plan your customers choose
Where they subscribe
10%

Off the first web payment only. The App Store has no welcome offer, but App Store customers still earn you your rate.

Per customer, at today's prices and the standard 25% rate. Card fees are Stripe's standard 2.9% + 30¢ and can vary; your ledger always uses the actual fee. App Store fees are Apple's 15% Small Business rate. Prices exclude tax. The full formula, with worked examples, is in section 7 of the Ambassador Terms.

Teaching classes

Run the class. We'll handle the bookings.

List a class in a few minutes: in person, live online, or a series over several weeks. Students book with a free Quiltler account, and you get a roster, attendance, reminders and a way to message everyone.

  • You set the price in US, Canadian or Australian dollars or pounds, or make it free. Of a paid booking, after the card fee, you keep 90%.
  • A cancellation policy you choose: flexible, moderate or strict, shown to students before they book. If you have to cancel, students are refunded in full automatically.
  • An optional class pass gives new students Quilter free until two weeks after your last session, so they can practise what you taught.
  • Students you teach become your customers if they've never paid for Quiltler and nobody introduced them first, so a class keeps paying after it ends.

One booking

Design your first sampler

  • Student pays$60.00
  • Card fee−$2.04
  • After fees$57.96
  • Quiltler keeps 10%−$5.80
  • You earn$52.16

Paid in the monthly payout once the class has run and a week has passed.

Mentoring

Bring the next teacher along

Some ambassadors are invited to mentor. Mentors train new ambassadors they know, and earn 1% of what their trainees' customers pay, from Quiltler's share, so a trainee never earns less because they have a mentor.

1

Invite someone you'd vouch for

A mentor shares their invite link. Chris still reviews and approves every new ambassador.

2

Train them properly

Work through the training modules together and log your sessions. Up to ten trainees at a time.

3

Earn 1% on their customers

On customers they bring after they've finished training. One level only: nothing for recruiting, and nothing cascades.

How to join

Apply, train, then start teaching

1

Tell us about you

Who you teach, where, and why Quiltler. A free Quiltler account is all you need to apply.

2

Read the terms

Plain-language Ambassador Terms covering how you're paid and how the programme is run fairly. You'll confirm you've read and understood them.

3

Start training

Short modules unlock as soon as you apply: the programme, honest promotion, a studio tour, and teaching with Quiltler.

4

Chris says hello

Every application is read personally. Once approved, Designer switches on and your first code is waiting in your portal.

The founding cohort

Fifteen places, to begin with

We're starting small on purpose, so every ambassador gets real time with Chris and a real say in what Quiltler builds next. When the cohort is full, applications pause until we're ready for the next one.

Never a breach

Honest criticism is welcome

A negative review, blunt feedback, recommending a competitor, a quiet few months: none of these cost you anything. There's no activity quota to keep your commissions.

Run fairly

Clear rules, and a fair process before anything ends

The terms spell out exactly what's serious (fraud, not delivering a class you were paid for, harassment, endangering students) and what's fixable. Fixable problems get a written notice and 14 days to put right. Every decision comes with reasons and can be appealed to Chris.

  • If you leave, customers you already brought keep paying you.
  • If we change the rate, it only affects people who join afterwards, with 30 days' notice of any cut.
  • If we ever close the programme, you get 60 days' notice and existing commissions continue.
Questions

What teachers ask before they apply

Who is the programme for?

Anyone 18 or over who teaches, leads or recommends in the quilting world: class teachers, guild organisers, longarmers, shop staff and makers with a following. You don't need to be a Quiltler expert yet; that's what the training is for.

What exactly is "after fees"?

On a web payment, Stripe's actual processing fee for that payment. On an App Store payment, Apple's commission (15% for Quiltler today). Your 25% is worked out on the price once that's taken off. Taxes are left out entirely.

Does a customer stay mine if they cancel and come back?

Yes. An introduction is recorded once and stays with their account for good, at the rate locked when they joined. The only thing that stops it is your own account being disabled for a serious breach.

What if they subscribe in the iPhone app?

They're still your customer and you still earn your rate, after Apple's commission. Welcome offers are web-only, so App Store customers pay full price.

When and how am I paid?

On the 1st of each month, through Stripe Connect, in US dollars. Each earning clears after 30 days so refunds can settle. If you have less than $10 available it rolls forward, never lost.

I already pay for Quiltler. What happens?

Once you're approved, Designer switches on for free and we stop your web subscription at the end of its current period. If you subscribe through the App Store, we'll show you how to cancel it in Settings.

Do I have to disclose that I'm an ambassador?

Yes, wherever you recommend Quiltler. It's the law in most places (the FTC in the US, CMA and ASA in the UK, the Competition Bureau in Canada, the ACCC in Australia), and it's the honest thing to do. Training shows you simple ways to say it.

Teach the quilters you already know
