Can I sell quilt patterns I wrote outside Quiltler?

Yes. Upload the PDF you already made — in EQ8, Illustrator, or on paper — with up to five files so instructions and templates can stay separate. It carries a Designer's own pattern badge and sits in the same market as studio-drafted listings.

What does a buyer get from a Quiltler-drafted pattern?

The pattern pack is generated from the design: shopping list, cutting chart, assembly map and true-scale templates. The design file goes to the buyer so they can recolour it, swap fabrics and resize it. You can also publish a Quiltler-only pattern that is never delivered as a PDF.

What does Quiltler charge to sell patterns?

The standard marketplace fee is 10% of the sale price. Active Designer subscribers pay 5%. Designer is $11.99 per month or $99 per year and includes listing statistics and your own imprint on the pattern. Stripe's processing fees also apply. You set your own prices.

Can someone resell a pattern they bought from me?

No. A purchased design is permanently recorded as coming from that sale, and listing it is refused — editing the fabrics and layout does not turn it into a new sellable pattern. That rule is one of the marketplace trust commitments.

How do I start selling?

Sign in, subscribe to Designer, complete Stripe identity and payout onboarding, and open quiltler.com/app/sell. From there you either upload a pattern you drafted yourself or pick a design from your Quiltler library.

AI pictures are watermarked at the source

Burned in as the image is made. A visualiser image arrives in a listing already marked, and the mark cannot be removed.

A pattern you sold cannot be sold on

A purchase is recorded against the design. Listing it again is refused, even after someone changes the fabrics. That is the seller-program protection, not a terms footnote.

Reviews need a receipt

A rival would have to buy your pattern before they could leave a one-star review. You can reply; you cannot edit or delete one.

$11.99 a month or $99 a year. It includes everything in Quilter, the 5% fee, listing stats and your own imprint. Listing for sale requires an active Designer plan.

Complete Stripe onboarding

Identity and bank verification through Stripe Express. A pattern cannot go on sale until payouts are live. Card details never reach Quiltler.

List a pattern

Upload your own PDF, or pick a quilt from your library. Set the price, the licence, and whether it is Quiltler-only. The fee is shown before you publish.

Get paid

Checkout is Stripe's hosted page. Quiltler keeps the platform fee and remits the rest to the account you connected, on Stripe's schedule.

What designers ask before they list

Do I have to design in Quiltler to sell here?

No. Independent PDFs sit next to Quiltler-drafted listings. The badges say what the buyer receives. The market is not sorted by them.

What happens if my Designer plan lapses?

Designer-only selling tools and the reduced 5% fee end, and the standard 10% marketplace fee applies. Buyers who already bought a pattern keep their download.

Can I also be an affiliate?

Yes. Sharing Quiltler and selling patterns are different programs. Many designers do both. The affiliate page is at /affiliate.

Where do shoppers browse?

The public market is quiltler.com/app/market. Your shop is quiltler.com/app/shop/… once you have listed. Both are server-rendered for search engines.
