Buying patterns & fabric

Check what a pattern includes before you buy

Every pattern’s page lists its finished size, fabric, pieces and skill level, What you get, and Your license: what you may and may not do with it. Many have a free sample to look inside.

Where to find it

Market → press a pattern

Open the market
A pattern's page in the market: the second photo is shown, then the page moves down past the finished size, fabric, pieces and skill level to What you get, and on to Your license with what you may and may not do

How to do it

  1. In the Market, press a pattern. Its photos are on the left; press a small one to see it large.
  2. Beside them are the Finished size, Fabric, Pieces and Skill level.
  3. What you get lists what comes with it, such as the print-ready PDF, the fabric requirements, a cutting chart and true-scale templates.
  4. Your license says what you may do, such as sew it as often as you like and sell the quilts you make, and what you may not, such as share or resell the pattern itself.
  5. Press Look inside — free sample, where there is one, for a few watermarked pages of the pattern.

Good to know

  • Someone sewed this means a photo shows a quilt made from the pattern. Designed in Quiltler means it opens in the studio, where you can recolor and resize it.
  • Reviews and finished-quilt photos come only from people who bought the pattern.
