Take the designer tour

A short tour walks you through the designer on your own quilt: tap a piece, color it, then where everything else lives. The Designer guide has the whole thing in one page you can print.

Where to find it

Designer → More → Take the tour or Designer guide

Open the designer
In the designer, More, then Take the tour opens a card from Pin the pincushion saying Your Sawtooth Stars just landed on the wall; Show me around moves the tour on to its next card, Pick a piece

How to do it

  1. In the designer, press More at the top right and choose Take the tour.
  2. Press Show me around. Each card points at one part of the designer; do what it asks, or press Next.
  3. Want to stop? I’ll wing it on the first card, or Skip tour after it, closes the tour. Take the tour starts it again whenever you like.
  4. For everything on one page, choose Designer guide in the same menu. It opens in a new tab, ready to print.

Good to know

  • The tour fits the quilt it opens on: on a blank quilt it starts by putting a block down.
  • On iPhone and iPad, the designer’s … menu has Designer tour, which teaches the finger gestures too.
