Design on the quilt

Undo and redo a change

Made a mistake? Undo takes back your last change, one step at a time, and Redo puts it back.

Where to find it

Designer → the curved arrows under the quilt’s name (Undo and Redo), or ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z.

Open the designer
Every navy piece of a Sawtooth Stars quilt is selected and turned berry; Undo turns them navy again, Redo makes them berry, and Undo takes them back to navy

How to do it

  1. Press Undo, the arrow curving left under the quilt’s name, or press ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows). Your last change is taken back.
  2. Press it again to go back further, one change at a time.
  3. Went too far? Press Redo, the arrow curving right, or ⇧⌘Z (Ctrl+Y on Windows).

Good to know

  • Undo remembers your last 100 changes while the quilt is open. Opening it again starts fresh, so save the version you want to keep.
  • While the rotary cutter has cuts marked but not made, Undo takes back the newest mark first.
  • On iPhone and iPad, Undo and Redo are at the top right of the designer.
