Design on the quilt
Find pieces stacked on top of each other
Pieces stacked on top of each other are counted twice in the fabric estimate. Check overlapping pieces selects any that overlap, so you can move them apart or delete the extra.
How to do it
- In the designer, press More at the top right and choose Check overlapping pieces. A dot beside it means some pieces overlap.
- Any pieces that overlap are selected on the quilt, and a note says how many.
- Drag them apart, or press Delete to remove the ones you don’t need. Check again until it says No overlapping pieces.
Good to know
- Check before you open the Fabric Calculator or print the pattern: stacked pieces throw off the yardage, the cutting list and the sewing order.
- Moved one by mistake? Undo puts it back.
- Who can use it
- Free, no account needed
- Where it works
- Web studio
