Record a video of how you design a quilt

Record your changes as you design, then play them back as a time-lapse video of the quilt coming together. Choose the frame, the camera and the pace in the replay studio.

Where to find it

Designer → More → Share & social content → Record how you build it

Open the designer
In the designer, More, Share & social content, Record how you build it starts recording; the navy pieces are turned berry, Stop recording opens the replay studio, Video of how you built it, and its preview plays the changes back

How to do it

  1. In the designer, press More, point to Share & social content and choose Record how you build it. A red dot on More shows it’s recording.
  2. Design as usual. Every change on the quilt is recorded.
  3. When you’re done, choose Stop recording in the same menu. The replay studio opens, Video of how you built it, playing your changes back.
  4. Pick a Frame, then the Camera: Follow the action moves in on each change, Whole quilt holds still. Set the Pace.
  5. Press Create video, then Download video.

Good to know

  • Show undo and redo off leaves out work you undid, so the video is only the path to the finished quilt.
  • Save recording keeps the list of steps as a file; Load a recording… makes a new video from it later, at another pace or shape.
  • Didn’t record? Make a build video from this quilt works it out from the finished quilt.
