Make a video of your quilt being built

Turn a finished quilt into a video of it coming together: the first block laid piece by piece, copied across the row, then the rows copied down. Nothing has to be recorded first.

Where to find it

Designer → More → Share & social content → Make a build video from this quilt

Open your quilts
A throw-size Ohio Stars quilt builds itself in Quiltler's video preview: the first navy star is laid piece by piece, copied across the row and down the quilt, until all 15 stars are in place

How to do it

  1. Open the quilt in the designer, press More, point to Share & social content and choose Make a build video from this quilt.
  2. Say how many grid squares make one block, with Squares across one block and Squares down one block, then press Make video.
  3. The studio plays the build. Pick a Frame (Reel, Story, Square post and more), and Whole quilt or Follow the action for the camera. Set the Pace.
  4. Press Create video, then Download video.

Good to know

  • A brisk Pace keeps a big quilt short: at a tenth of a second per change, a throw-size Ohio Stars quilt of 30 blocks runs about 14 seconds.
  • The video is made in your browser, usually as an MP4.
