iPhone & iPad
Use the designer tools on iPhone and iPad
Under the quilt, or beside it on a wide screen, is the tool dock: Paint, Select, Search and Eraser, then Library, Layout and More.
Where to find it
Open a quilt from Studio → the tool dock under the quilt (or the panel beside it when the screen is wider than tall).
Get the appHow to do it
- Tap Paint, choose a color or fabric in the chip above the tools, then tap pieces on the quilt to fill them.
- Tap Library for every color, fabric, shape and block, in the Paint With sheet.
- Tap Select, then tap a piece and drag it to move it. Drag on empty space to box several at once.
- Tap Eraser, then tap pieces to take them off. Search finds pieces by fabric, shape or turn and picks up every match.
- Tap Layout for the quilt's size, grid, sashing and borders.
Good to know
- Press and hold a tool to watch a short film of what it does.
- Press and hold a piece for its menu: recolor, turn, duplicate, select every piece like it, or delete it.
- Undo and Redo are in the top bar, and More in the dock has Clear the Whole Quilt.
