Yardage & patterns

Make a printable pattern of your quilt

Turn your design into a pattern you can print: a shopping list, cutting chart, strip sets and units, block diagrams, the assembly order and true-scale templates, in one PDF. The preview beside it is the exact file you download.

Where to find it

Designer → More → Printable pattern — cutting & sewing, or the Printable pattern button in the Fabric Calculator.

Open your quilts
In the designer, More then Printable pattern — cutting & sewing opens the quilt's printable pattern, and its Construction tab shows How this quilt is sewn, with the totals and Block 1 beside a preview of the pattern

How to do it

  1. Open your quilt and press More in the designer's top bar.
  2. Choose Printable pattern — cutting & sewing. Quiltler saves the quilt and opens its Printable pattern page in a new tab.
  3. The preview on the right is the pattern itself. Use the Style, Construction and Wording tabs on the left to shape it; the preview rebuilds as you go.
  4. Press Download printable pattern to save the PDF, then print it at 100% so the templates come out true to scale.

Good to know

  • Change the quilt in the designer and the pattern rebuilds to match next time you open it.
  • The yardage in the pattern follows your Fabric Calculator assumptions, so set those first.
