Choose how each block is sewn
The printable pattern's Construction tab picks the quickest way to make each block (strip sets, half-square triangles two, four or eight at a time, flying geese, stitch and flip) and lets you choose another. The cutting chart, yardage and steps follow your choice.
Where to find it

Open your quiltsHow to do it
- Open the quilt's Printable pattern page and choose the Construction tab. It shows How this quilt is sewn, with a card for each block.
- On a block's card, each part has its methods, such as Piecing or Half-square triangles. The one marked Least work is chosen for you.
- Pick another method, like Eight at a time or Strip sets, by row. Open How it works to watch a short film of each before you choose.
- Open Split into sections to break the block into units: tap a seam to split it there, and tap it again to join.
- Open Steps for the block and press Rewrite these steps to put the sewing in your own words, then Save steps.
