Save a group of pieces to select again

Name a selection and save it under Groups in the right panel. One click on the group’s Select picks up every piece in it again, to recolor, move or change together.

Where to find it

Designer → right panel → Groups, or Go to Groups at the top of the panel.

Open the designer
In the designer, five plum squares of a Plus Quilt are selected; typed as Plum plus in Groups and saved with Save group, the group is listed with five pieces; one sky square is clicked, then the group’s Select picks all five plum squares up again

How to do it

  1. Select the pieces you want to keep together.
  2. Press Go to Groups at the top of the right panel, type a name in Group name, and press Save group.
  3. Later, press Select on the group to pick all its pieces up again. Shift-click it to add them to what’s already selected.
  4. Press Update to swap the group’s pieces for what you have selected now, or ✕ to delete the group. The pieces stay on the quilt.

Good to know

  • Groups also show in the search at the top of the designer, so you can find one by name.
