Design with only the colors and fabrics you pick

The Shortlist under the designer’s palette narrows it to one color palette, one of your bundles, a fabric catalog or a shop. The palette then offers only those, and so does Suggest.

Where to find it

Designer → bottom of the right panel → Shortlist.

Open the designer
In the designer, Shortlist under the palette opens; under Mix and match, Colors is set to the Seaside palette and the palette shows just its four colors; two of them dragged onto a Plus Quilt turn every plum square harbor blue and every sky square sea glass

How to do it

  1. In the designer, press Shortlist at the bottom of the right panel. It starts on Everything in my library.
  2. Pick one of your bundles under Use one of your bundles, or a fabric catalog under Design from a catalog.
  3. Or, under Mix and match, choose a color palette for Colors, and sets for Fabrics, Shapes and Blocks.
  4. Click back on the design wall. The palette now shows only what you picked, with a note saying so.
  5. Show all in that note, or Show everything in the menu, puts the whole library back.

Good to know

  • Make a palette in My Library → Colors → Palettes, or use New color palette at the bottom of the menu.
  • On iPhone and iPad, the bundle bar in the designer does the same with your bundles.
