Design on the quilt

Make a block from pieces on your quilt

Select pieces you’ve arranged on the quilt and turn them into a block: Make quilt block opens them in the block builder, and Save as block keeps them in your blocks.

Where to find it

Select the pieces → bar under the design wall → More actions → Make quilt block, or right-click → Save as block.

Open the designer
In the designer, four navy and cream squares on the Plus Quilt are shift-clicked, More actions → Make quilt block is pressed, and the block builder opens with the four pieces as a new block

How to do it

  1. Select the pieces that make the block.
  2. Open More actions on the bar under the design wall.
  3. Press Make quilt block. The block builder opens with your pieces, sized to fit them on its grid.
  4. Or right-click the selection and choose Save selection as block to name it and keep it in your blocks without leaving the quilt.

Good to know

  • The block builder and your blocks need an account, so sign in first. A free account is enough.
  • A saved block appears with your blocks in the palette, ready to place on any quilt.
