Blocks & shapes

Share a block with the community

Publish… in the block builder shares your block with the community, where anyone can use it in their own quilt. If the block is already there, yours is added as a new colorway of it.

Where to find it

Block builder → Publish… in the top bar, or More → Share to community

Open your blocks
In the block builder, Publish… opens Publish this block; her version is called Navy and cream, Publish shares it, and Share with everyone in the left panel turns on

How to do it

  1. Open your block in the block builder and press Publish… in the top bar.
  2. Quiltler checks whether the block is already in the library. If it is, type what to Call yours so people can tell the versions apart; if it's new, give it a Block name and Category.
  3. Press Publish. Share with everyone in the left panel turns on.
  4. To take it back off the community, turn Share with everyone off and press Save.

Good to know

  • More → Download a picture saves a picture of the block, and Progress & finished photos adds photos of the one you sewed.
  • Each block is kept once, however many people have colored it, so the community isn't filled with fifty half-square triangles.
