Start a quilt

Start a quilt in your own fabrics

On the setup's last step, swap the starter colors for prints from your fabric library. The live preview redraws in them, and the quilt reaches the design wall already in your fabric.

Where to find it

Setup → Size, finishing and fabrics → Fabrics

Open the setup
On the last step of the new-quilt setup for a Churn Dash, each starter color is clicked and swapped for a photographed print from the library, the live preview redraws in them, and Start designing lays the quilt on the design wall in those fabrics

How to do it

  1. Sign in, open Design and pick a quilt. On Size, finishing and fabrics, Fabrics is under the size and border.
  2. Click one of the quilt's colors, then one of your fabrics to replace it. The live preview redraws in your print.
  3. Do the same for each color. Use original color puts one back, and Start colors puts them all back.
  4. A scrappy quilt with many colors shows one list instead: pick fabrics up to its number of colors, and they're used throughout.
  5. Need another fabric? The + before your fabrics, or Add fabric when you have none yet, adds one from a photo.
  6. Press Start designing. The quilt opens in your fabrics.

Good to know

  • Signed out, the setup starts in its own colors. You can swap in fabrics later on the design wall.
  • Free accounts keep 10 fabric photos, and solid colors aren't counted.
