Color & fabric

Use any color, and save it to My colors

Type a color code into Custom, or search the palette by a color’s name, to use any solid you like. The + under My colors keeps it for every quilt, here and on iPhone and iPad.

Where to find it

Designer → right panel → Palette → Colors → Custom and My colors.

Open the designer
In the designer, five selected plum squares turn teal when #2F8F83 is typed into Custom; the + under My colors opens Save a color with that code, it is named and saved, and the teal joins My colors

How to do it

  1. Select the pieces you want to color. With nothing selected, a color loads the Place brush instead.
  2. Under Colors, type a color code like #2F8F83 into Custom and press Return, or click the swatch beside it to pick one. The pieces change.
  3. Or type a name or a code in the search at the top of the palette to find a color you already have.
  4. Press + under My colors. Save a color opens with that color filled in; give it a name and a family, then press Save color.
