Color & fabric

Drag a color or fabric onto the quilt

Drag any color or fabric from the palette onto a piece. Which pieces change decides whether that changes just the piece, every match in the selection, or every piece of that color on the quilt.

Where to find it

Designer → drag from the right panel’s Palette. The choice is in Quilt settings (left panel) → Controls → Which pieces change.

Open the designer
In the designer, Rose dragged from the palette onto one denim square of an Irish Chain quilt changes just that square; with Which pieces change set to All matches, Rose dropped on another square turns every denim square rose, and Sage dropped on a cream square turns all the cream background sage

How to do it

  1. Drag a color or fabric from the palette and let go on a piece.
  2. To choose what changes, open Quilt settings → Controls → Which pieces change.
  3. This piece changes only the piece you drop on. All matches changes every piece in that color or fabric.
  4. In selection changes the matches inside your selection, and every match when nothing is selected.
  5. Drop on an empty space and it makes a new piece the shape of that space.

Good to know
