Put a block on your quilt

The Blocks in the designer’s palette stamp a whole pieced block into a space on the quilt, from the classics, your own blocks or the community’s. Each click fills one space, as pieces you can recolor.

Where to find it

Designer → right panel → Palette → Blocks, or Go to Blocks at the top of the panel.

Open the designer
In the quilt designer, Blocks → Mine holds the saved Harvest Star; picked, it is stamped into the ten plain squares of a nine patch quilt, one click each

How to do it

  1. In the designer, press Go to Blocks at the top of the right panel.
  2. Pick Classics, Mine for blocks you’ve made, or Community, or search by name.
  3. Click a block, then click a space on the quilt. Each click fills one space with the block, sized to fit.
  4. Or drag a block straight onto a space.
  5. The block lands as ordinary pieces, so you can recolor any of them one by one.

Good to know

  • Select pieces first and clicking a block puts it into those, keeping how they’re turned.
  • The + in the blocks opens the block builder in a new tab. Press Refresh in the toolbar afterward to see your new block.
