Size, grid & borders

Make a quilt bigger or smaller

Take a design to another size in one step: bigger blocks, more blocks, or a border. A preview shows each choice before you commit, and one undo puts it back.

Where to find it

Designer → Quilt settings (left panel) → Resize Quilt…

Open the designer
In the designer, Resize Quilt… takes the 60 × 72 Plus Quilt to a queen bed: the preview first frames it in a border, then grows it with more blocks round the old quilt, and Resize quilt makes it 15 × 18 blocks, 90 × 108 inches

How to do it

  1. Open your quilt in the designer and open Quilt settings in the left panel.
  2. Press Resize Quilt…, then pick a bed size or type the width and height you want.
  3. Choose how to get there: Bigger blocks, More blocks or Add a border. The preview shows the quilt at its new size.
  4. Press Resize quilt. The whole change is one step, so one Undo takes it back.

Good to know

  • More blocks keeps your block size and adds blocks round the edge, which keeps the pattern's look.
  • Want to try a size without losing this one? Save a variation first, from the Save menu.
