Design on the quilt
Show a fabric print at its real size
A fabric photo can stretch to fill a piece, or repeat across it at the size the print really is. Print scale says how many inches of fabric the photo shows, so the quilt looks the way it will sew up.
Where to find it
Select pieces in a fabric photo → bar under the design wall → More actions → Repeat print or Stretch to fit; Position & angle → Print scale.
Open the designerHow to do it
- Select the pieces that use a fabric photo.
- Open More actions on the bar under the design wall.
- Press Repeat print to repeat the photo across the piece, or Stretch to fit to stretch it over the whole piece.
- For a true-size print, open Position & angle and type the Print scale: how many inches of fabric the photo shows across. Larger numbers make the print smaller.
Good to know
- Give a fabric its print width when you add it to your stash, and it lands at its real size every time.
- A Print scale of 0 repeats the photo once in every space of the grid.
- Who can use it
