Start a quilt

Set up a quilt by describing it

Press Set Up My Quilt For Me and describe the quilt in your own words, such as “a queen on point with a 3″ border”. You see exactly how it will be laid out before Apply to the quilt changes anything.

Where to find it

Designer → Quilt settings (left panel) → Set Up My Quilt For Me

Open the designer

How to do it

  1. Open your quilt in the designer. In Quilt settings on the left, press Set Up My Quilt For Me. Configure my quilt opens.
  2. Describe the quilt you want in the box, or press a suggestion such as On-point squares, queen size to put it in the box to edit. Then press Send.
  3. Read The plan: the size, grid, sashing and borders it will use, worked out exactly.
  4. Press Apply to the quilt. The whole change is one step, so one Undo takes it back.
  5. Keep chatting to adjust it, or close the window to carry on designing.

Good to know

  • Blocks already on the quilt are resized to fit the new grid.
  • It uses the same settings as Quilt settings, so you can fine-tune anything it set up there afterwards.
