The Iowa Quilt Museum presents Sound and Light: Composing Quilts from January 19 through April 18, 2027, at 68 East Court Avenue in Winterset. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Adult admission is $12. Seniors, active military, and veterans are $10. Children ages 3 to 12 and students with ID are $5, and Iowa Quilt Museum and NARM members are free. The exhibit sets historic and contemporary quilts beside the shared language of music: rhythm, pattern, repetition, variation, and chance, with Joe Cunningham’s interest in John Cage as a starting point.
